Raised in Poughkeepsie,
New York, Robert Lim was an active and inquisitive youth. He
participated in soccer, badminton, track & field, and little league
baseball. Fascinated with the mechanism of the human body, Robert
majored in biology while pursing his avid love of soccer playing
midfield for the Ithaca College soccer team.
After four knee surgeries,
Robert realized that his dream of playing professional soccer would
never be fulfilled. Instead, he shifted his focus to medicine and
attended Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. Choosing
to stay in Chicago, Dr. Lim completed his two year surgical residency at
Sacred Heart Hospital. Upon conclusion of his surgical residency, Dr.
Lim opened his private practice with current locations in the near
western suburbs of Oak Brook and Naperville.
With over sixteen years
of professional experience, Dr. Lim is a well-respected individual in
the medical community. He has treated professional athletes from the
NFL, NBA, U.S. National Men’s Soccer Team, Arena Football League, Major
League Lacrosse, Independent Women’s Football League and has treated
collegiate athletes from DePaul, Benedictine, and UIC just to name a
few. Fate would reunite Dr. Lim with his passion for soccer when,
in 2001, he joined the MLS Chicago Fire as the team podiatrist and later
as a team physician with the US Soccer Federation.
Dr. Lim is committed to
providing his patients with the most effective treatment plan combining
conservative medicine, the latest technological breakthroughs, and
innovate and unique surgical procedures that cater to every patient. It

Science and invention are
familial traits. Dr. Lim’s father Hok Lim, now retired, enjoyed a thirty
year tenure as an engineer with IBM, and his sister Siam
Lim, a gifted chemist, discovered a new chemical compound. Dr. Robert
Lim resides in Naperville, Illinois with his wife Kristine and their
twin sons Alex and Benji.
